Alive City Church was founded by Pastor Alex and Pastor Jenny Boateng in September 2019 in their home. After serving faithfully in their previous church for over 15 years, God called them to start a new ministry aimed at reaching a diverse and new demographic. Their vision for Alive City Church is to create an environment where believers can be equipped to discover and live out their purpose in Christ.

Pastor Alex grew up in a family filled with both preachers and footballers. He was on the verge of pursuing a football scholarship in the United States when he felt a profound calling from God, which was confirmed by his spiritual leaders. After being ordained and assisting in planting branches for their former church, Pastor Alex completed a degree in Ministerial Theology, solidifying his commitment to his pastoral calling.

Pastor Jenny recognised her calling to ministry at the age of 16, driven by a deep passion for sharing the message of Jesus. Remarkably, she was the one who invited Pastor Alex to church. Pastor Jenny is a Cambridge University alumna, graduating with a First Class degree in Economics. In addition to her role at Alive City Church, she is a senior leader in the corporate world, with extensive experience in Investment Banking and Consulting. Pastor Jenny is dedicated to using her professional skills to support the church in serving the community with excellence.

Pastor Alex and Pastor Jenny got married in June 2012 and are blessed with four wonderful children. Together, they lead Alive City Church with a shared vision and a heartfelt commitment to their congregation and community.
